Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how QuoteKit ("the app," "we," "us") handles information when you use the QuoteKit mobile application. QuoteKit is operated by Pablo Varona, sole proprietor, contactable at feedback@tryquotekit.com.

Plain-English summary. Everything you type into QuoteKit — your business profile, your clients, your quotes, your photos, your signatures — stays on your phone. We do not have a server. We do not see your data. We do not share it with anyone. The only network calls the app makes are for fonts and Apple/Google operating-system services required to render an interface. If that ever changes, this page will change first, and you'll be told.

Information we collect

QuoteKit collects only what you type or capture inside the app. Today that includes:

• Your business profile. Name, phone, email, address, license number, pricing defaults, and an optional logo image.
• Quote data. Per-quote: client name, client phone, service type, hours, miles, add-ons, prices, line items, total, deposit, language.
• Photos and logos. Images you attach to a quote (the sofa, the leaky pipe) or upload as your business logo.
• Signatures. When a client accepts a quote on your device, we store the captured signature image, the signer's name, the timestamp, and a cryptographic SHA-256 hash of the quote at signing time.
• Calendar entries. Date, time, client name, phone, service, notes, and (optionally) a back-reference to a saved quote.
• Templates. Edits and additions you make to the bundled message templates.

We do not collect:

• Location data
• Contacts from your phone's address book
• Browsing history
• Device identifiers for advertising
• Crash logs or analytics
• Anything from microphone or sensors

Where this information lives

All of the above is stored on your device using:

• AsyncStorage (a sandboxed key-value store provided by your operating system, accessible only to QuoteKit).
• FileSystem document directory (a sandboxed folder for image and PDF files).

It does not leave your device unless you explicitly share it (e.g., by generating a PDF and tapping the system share sheet to send it via Messages, Mail, or another app of your choosing).

How we use the information

We use the information solely to provide app functionality:

• Pre-fill quotes with your business details.
• Calculate totals.
• Generate quote PDFs.
• Open the share sheet so you can send the PDF where you choose.
• Open Messages with a pre-filled SMS body.
• Open Mail with a copy of a signed quote attached, addressed to you.
• Track signed quotes for your own records.

We do not analyze, profile, or sell the information.

Third parties

QuoteKit does not currently use third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporters, or backend service providers. The only third parties involved in your use of the app are:

• Apple or Google, through their operating-system APIs that you've already agreed to (e.g. when the app uses the camera, the photo library, the print engine, or the share sheet).
• Google Fonts, which our PDF and UI typefaces are loaded from at build time. No request from QuoteKit is made on your behalf.

If we add a server, analytics, or any third-party SDK in the future, we will update this Policy and notify you in-app before doing so.

Permissions we ask for

When you use certain features, the operating system prompts you for permission. You can revoke any of these at any time in your device's Settings.

• Camera. To take photos of items being quoted.
• Photo library. To attach existing photos to a quote and to upload your business logo.

We do not request location, contacts, calendar (the system calendar), microphone, motion, Bluetooth, or background app refresh.

Children

QuoteKit is intended for adult contractors and small-business operators. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us at the address above and we will help.

Your rights

Because all your data lives on your device:

• Access. Open the app — that's your data.
• Correction. Edit any field in Settings, the Quote builder, or the Quotes list.
• Deletion. Tap "Delete quote" inside any saved quote, "Delete job" inside any calendar entry, or "Delete template" on a custom template. To delete everything at once, uninstall the app — your operating system will reclaim the sandbox.
• Portability. Generate a PDF for any quote and share it via the system share sheet to back up to email, cloud storage, or another device.

If you live in California (CCPA), the EU/UK (GDPR), or another region with personal-data rights, the local-only nature of QuoteKit means we are not the controller or processor of your information today and we do not maintain copies of it. Your rights are fully exercised by managing the data on your device. If we add a server in the future, we will add the necessary processes (data subject access requests, deletion verification, processor agreements) before any data is uploaded.

Changes to this Policy

We will update this Policy whenever our data practices change. The "Effective date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of QuoteKit after a change means you accept the revised Policy. Material changes will also be flagged in-app.
